Vicki Huebner, Assistant Dean

Vicki Huebner provides career counseling and resume review with regard to all legal career opportunities for 1L, 1LE, 2L, 2LE, and 3LE students. Additionally, she is available to prepare you for the interviewing process by conducting mock interviews. She engages in a significant amount of employer outreach activities, plans career workshops, maintains relationships with the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), and oversees the reporting of employment statistics to NALP, the American Bar Association, US News and World Report, and the American Association of Law Schools.

 

Vicki was appointed as Assistant Dean for Law Career Services in August 2006. She is a seasoned career services professional with more than a decade of experience assisting students and graduates with all phases of career advising. Vicki is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and is currently serving as NALP's liaison to the American Bar Association's General Practice Solo and Small Firm Division. She has also served in various other leadership roles within the association, and is active in local legal recruitment and bar associations.

 

Vicki earned both her J.D., cum laude, and B.A. degrees from Brigham Young University in Utah. As a student she participated in the Appellate Moot Court program and the Jessup Moot Court competition.

 

Prior to entering the career services profession, Vicki practiced law in Huntington Beach, California and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ronald M Holdaway of the United States Court of Veterans Appeals in Washington, DC. She is licensed to practice law in California.

 


 

Jennifer Babcock, Assistant Director, Law Career Services

Jennifer Babcock works with third year law students and graduates in their legal career planning. She received her J.D. magna cum laude from Santa Clara Law in 2006, her M.A. in Social Work from San Jose State University in 1996, and her B.A. from UC San Diego in 1993. She is licensed to practice law in the jurisdictions of California and Hawaii. She has practiced law in both large and small firm settings, and continues to practice and do pro bono work.

 

Ms. Babcock is available to assist you with resume and cover letter review, networking strategy, mock interviews, and personal career counseling. She plans career events for Santa Clara Law students and graduates and regularly does outreach with alumni and employers.

 


 

Natalie Bautista, Assistant Director, Law Career Services

Natalie Bautista provides career counseling for third year law students, LL.M. students and graduates. Additionally, she plans career events for Santa Clara Law students and is available to assist you with resume and cover letter review, mock interviews and networking strategies. Natalie received her JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2001 and her Bachelors of Arts in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1997. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois. Prior to this, Natalie practiced law in Chicago and San Francisco.

 


 

Morgan Dain, Assistant Director for Law Career Development

Morgan Dain came to Santa Clara Law Career Services in 2005 with a background in undergraduate advising, and as an internships and careers services coordinator. Prior to her work in academia, Morgan worked for many years in the corporate sector as the Media and Human Resources Manager for a business in Upstate New York, where she did extensive employer outreach, employee relations and media and marketing management.

 

At Santa Clara, Morgan advises first, second and third year law students, with a focus on self-assessment and developing long term career strategies and goals. She is actively involved in student and employer outreach, works closely with the Public Interest Law Career Services (PILCS) student coordinators, plans career events and weekly programs and is MBTI® certified, a member of the National Association for Legal Professionals (NALP) and the Bay Area Legal Recruiters Association (BALRA).

 


 

Christina Johnson, Program Coordinator for Law Career Services

In keeping with the vision of the goals and mission of the LCS office, Program Coordinator Christina Johnson is responsible for directing the use of a sophisticated online recruiting and employment management system (Symplicity), assisting in the coordination of all recruitment activities including large events and smaller forums, as well as, directly relating with employers and students. The Program Coordinator manages a very busy student service office and supervises a team of student assistants, to ensure a high level of customer service to students, staff, faculty, employers and alumni.
