Shelyna Brown


Biography

Ms. Brown graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1996. After interning with the Public Defender's Office during her final year at Santa Clara, she knew that it was the job for her. When she started with the Public Defender's office in 1997, she soon found out that this job was more difficult and rewarding than she ever could have imagined. Ms. Brown was immediately put to work doing research and writing, arguing motions and litigating jury trials. At the beginning of 2004, she became a supervising attorney for the Misdemeanor Team. In this role, she is able to train new attorneys to do what she loves to do, fight for the rights of those who are less fortunate. It is her dream job!
