Below is a list of frequently asked questions at the Admissions Dept. Please contact us with any questions not listed on this page, or click here for more info.
All applications are automatically considered for scholarship. Admitted students will be sent additional application materials for the Public Interest Scholarships.
Dean’s Fellows and Intellectual Property (IP) Fellows are selected from the most competitive applicants overall. Applicants will be notified if they are awarded the IP Fellowship, or if they are in contention for the Dean’s Fellowship.

Applicants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is available on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. When filling out the FAFSA, be sure to include Santa Clara University as one of the six schools that you would like to receive your information. Santa Clara University's federal school code is 001326.
The range is $1,000 to full tuition, depending on the type of scholarship.

First year law students can receive up to $20,500 per year from the Federal William D. Ford Direct Loan program.
Students can also apply for Grad PLUS loans, and often receive up to the cost of attendance (student budget) minus the amount of other financial aid received.
Eligibility is often determined by an applicant's credit history.

Graduate students are no longer eligible to receive subsidized loan as a result of the 2011 Balance Budget Act. For more information click here.
Beginning in the 2010-2011 academic year, all Federal loans, including Federal PLUS Loan, will be processed exclusively in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.
